Program Learning Outcomes
The program learning outcomes for the Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction include the following outcomes expected of each graduate:
- Develop and design a study to answer quantitative and qualitative research questions.
- Use univariate and multivariate research designs and data analysis methods.
- Demonstrate knowledge of different qualitative designs and approaches to qualitative data analysis.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergent research practices and processes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of models and methods of instrument design.
- Demonstrate knowledge of models and methods of program evaluation.
- Conduct and write up research questions appropriate for professional research and publication.
- Conduct and write up research questions appropriate for professional writing for journal and newsletter publication.
- Present at a professional conference.
- Design an evaluation of research proposals for a human subjects/institutional review board review.
- Write a grant proposal and seek sources of external funding.
- Identify and articulate ethical and culturally relevant strategies for conducting research.
