2 Ed.S. Program Course Flow

Students who wish to start in spring or summer, or who bring in transfer credits, or who wish to only take one course per term, will obviously have a different course flow. Once admitted to the program, the Ed.S. program coordinator will meet with the student (via Zoom) to create a plan of study. The plan of study is flexible, but it at least provides direction and a timeline.

The assumptions made below are:

• The student is starting in the fall term
• The incoming student has no credits to transfer from a master’s degree program.
• The student is interested in taking TWO courses per term (fall, spring, summer)

FALL 1

• EDTECH 602: Emerging Trends in Ed Tech
• EDTECH 5xx: Cognate #1 of 3

SPRING 1

• EDTECH 604: Leadership in Educational Technology
• EDTECH 650: Introduction to Research for Ed Tech

SUMMER 1

• EDTECH 5xx: Elective #1 of 3
• EDTECH 5xx: Cognate #2 of 3

FALL 2

• EDTECH 651: Introduction to Statistics in Educational Technology Research
• EDTECH 5xx: Cognate #3 of 3

SPRING 2

• EDTECH 5xx: Elective #3 of 3
• EDTECH 680: Ed.S. Final Project
