Remix an Activity
Create an Interpretive Activity Using Authentic Materials or Digital Humanities Sites
The Pathways Project is largely centered on interpersonal speaking activities. One of the ways that we’d like to grow in the future is by including interpretive (reading/listening) activities. This guide will walk you through how you might incorporate authentic materials into your classroom and scaffold them to meet the needs of your learners.

Creating Pre, During and Post Interpretive Activities

Authentic Materials are real-life examples of language used in everyday situations. Created by and for native speakers, they help students to learn more about the target culture and provide an opportunity for students to practice their reading and listening comprehension.
Teachers can scaffold these materials to use with any proficiency level by selecting materials that are age appropriate and tailoring the tasks students are asked to complete.
