Remix an Activity

Why Remix?

I can remix my selected activity by incorporating authentic materials or a digital humanities project.

In this section, you’ll learn how to remix your selected Pathways Project activity by bringing in authentic materials and digital humanities sites. We’ll also discuss how to find and incorporate photos, illustrations, video, audio, news articles, and infographics. To finish, you’ll create a reading, listening or viewing (interpretive) activity.

You may wish to remix an activity to:

  1. To be committed to diverse voices and perspectives by representing multicultural and multilingual communities more equitably in teaching materials and learning experiences
  2. To integrate more opportunities for intercultural competence which directly aligns to the World Readiness Standards
  3. To provide more comprehensible input that will aid your students in successfully engaging in the Pathways interpersonal speaking activity
  4. To continue being an involved learner; remixing gives teachers new ways for exploring and improving our content expertise
