Description:

In this lab students will review multiple topics by asking each other questions.

Semantic Topics:

Hobbies, Daily Activities, The best, Adjectives, Past tense, Future Plans, Which one, Want,〜のが、趣味、毎日アクティビティ、一番〜、形容詞、〜でした、〜ました、将来計画、どんな、欲しい

Products: Practice Questions

Practices: Listening and responding to questions, Asking Questions

Perspectives: Politely answering questions about yourself, and asking questions about others

NCSSFL-ACTFL World-Readiness Standards:

  • Standard 1.1: Students engage in conversation, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions.
  • Standard 1.2: Students understand and interpret written and spoken Japanese on a variety of topics.

Idaho Content Standards for World Languages:

  • COMM 1.1: Interact and negotiate meaning (spoken, signed, written conversation) to share information, reactions,
    feelings, and opinions
  • COMM 2.1: Understand, interpret, and analyze what is heard, read, or viewed on a variety of topics.

NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements:

  • I can ask and respond to questions.
  • I can talk about a variety of topics in the target language.
  • I can talk about my everyday habits and activities.

Materials Needed:

Warm-Up

Ask Students about what exams they have coming up.

Main Activity

  1. Have the students take turns asking each other questions.
    生徒たちに順番にお互いに質問させます。
    • 趣味は何ですか。
    • 週末は何をするのが好きですか。
    • 一番好きなえいがを説明してください(けいようし)。
    • 春休みはどうでしたか。
    • 夏休みは何をしますか。
    • 好きな料理は何ですか。
    • よく料理をしますか。何を作りますか。
    • 好きなスポーツは何ですか。
    • どんなスポーツをしますか。
    • 子供の時にどんなスポーツをしていましたか。
    • 今までで一番高い買い物は何ですか。
    • 今、何が一番欲しいですか。
    • 海外に行きたいですか。どこに行きたいですか。
    • 一番好きなレストランは何ですか。どんな食べ物がありますか。

Wrap-Up

Ask students if they have any other material from class that they want to review.
他に復習したい授業資料がないか生徒に尋ねます。

End of Activity

  • Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate
    their confidence.
    (Use thumbs up/thumbs down or download our student cards.)
  • Encourage students to be honest in their self-evaluation.
  • Pay attention, and try to use feedback for future activities!
