Warm-Up

Ask students what they plan on doing at specific locations using the pictures on the two slides.

Students have to answer with ”〜つもり” or 〜予定。”

Main Activity

Go over useful vocabulary in the slides, and make sure students understand the vocabulary before proceeding.

Students will take turns giving out directions to the rest of the students using the vocabulary they reviewed, and the others will try to guess which building they went to. Read the main activity instructions and example out loud to the students.

If it helps students, lab instructors can share their screen and have students use the annotate function so they can draw their route as the other person gives them the directions.

Wrap-Up

Ask the students the following questions to finish the activity:

Where would you like to go? What do you want to do there? Have you gone there and done that activity before?

End of Activity:

  • Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate
    their confidence.
(Use thumbs up/thumbs down or download our student cards.)
  • Encourage students to be honest in their self-evaluation.
  • Pay attention, and try to use feedback for future activities!
