Warm-Up

  1. Talk about how they separate trash in Japan.

Main Activity

  1. Have the students get in pairs.

  2. Give each pair a few cards.
    Instructions in the target language.

  3. They will have to sort the trash and throw them away in the correct trash bin.

Wrap-Up

  1. Do you separate garbage in the United States?

  2. Do you sort in other countries?
    他の国では分別しますか?

End of Activity

  • Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate
    their confidence.

  • Encourage students to be honest in their self-evaluation.
