Warm-Up

  1. Give each student one card with 4 vocab words and one card with 5 vocab words.
    Instructions in the target language.
  2. For each card students will create a story / sentence using all of the vocab words on the card.
    Instructions in the target language.
  3. Example: When you are educated about etiquette, you will learn how to say hello politely.
    例:マナーについて教育される時、丁寧な挨拶の仕方を習います。

Main Activity

  1. Hand out the item cards to each student.
    Instructions in the target language.
  2. Have each student make a sentence without saying the name of the item with てあげる/くれる/もらう.
    Instructions in the target language.
  3. Other students have to guess the item from the item list and make some questions to get correct answers
    Instructions in the target language.
  4. Other students have to answer using てあげる/くれる/もらう.
    Instructions in the target language.

    • For Example:
      • Questioner(Q): 私がお母さんに作ってもらったものは何でしょうか
      • Answerers(A): (guess the item from the item list) それは食べ物ですか。
      • Q: はい。
      • A: あなたはお母さんにカレーを作ってもらいましたか。
      • Q: 正解です。

  • Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate
    their confidence.
