Book Description
This book will provide readers with an introduction to the concepts of evidence-based practice. Readers will be introduced to the concepts of qualitative and quantitative research, as well as research and analysis methods for both qualitative and quantitative research. This book will provide a systematic way to critically appraise literature and to promote the use of evidence-based practice. This book introduces key concepts and a brief history of epidemiology. Disease transmission and outbreak investigation will also be discussed. The book will also introduce measures of disease occurrence and surveillance, along with key screening and diagnostic tests. Finally, the book will discuss descriptive and analytic epidemiological study designs.
