Financial Aid
PEMS does not offer any graduate assistance or tuition waivers at this time. The College of Education at Boise State University offers a limited number of competitive graduate assistantships; PEMS students can apply, but it is not guaranteed. To find more information about financial aid, see our page about it in the handbook.
Length of the Program
Completing the PEMS program requires 30 credits (10 courses), so depending on how many courses students take each semester, it can take longer or shorter to finish the program. For example, if students complete three courses per semester and one course in the summer, they can graduate as soon as 1.5 years. If students complete two courses per semester, it can take 2-3 years to graduate.
International students
If you need a student F-1 visa to study in the U.S, you can contact the International Student Services Office at internationalinfo@boisestate.edu to inquire about obtaining the student F-1 visa and the minimum number of credits that you need to take per semester to maintain your student status.
