Part 7: Implementation, Strategy, and Stakeholder Duties

We close this text by focusing on two inter-related, broad aspects of the relationship between business and society. First, we examine the role that CSR / ESG issues and stakeholder analysis can play in business strategy, particularly as it relates to philanthropic efforts. Second, we turn the tables on the material and consider the potential duties of stakeholders, including economic theory that suggests why the issues discussed in this class often take long time periods to gain social traction.
