Part 3: Ethical Duties

In this Part, we begin considering ethics in some depth. A major theme will be learning and applying specific ethical “frameworks”, “perspectives”, or “lenses” which ethicists have developed to aid in decision making. With each framework that we study, we will offer the basics of the theory and its application. We will then offer some critiques of thinking in each manner. Finally, we will bring these together and consider how to evaluate a situation in which different ethical frameworks appear to disagree.
