1.3 A Living Discipline

As demonstrated, anthropology is a broad, living discipline. Within the four field approach, new combinations are formed regularly. Anthropologists also frequently work with scientists and scholars from other disciplines to tackle the broader challenges facing humanity. It is this flexibility, transdisciplinary aspect that makes anthropology a valuable science.
