💼Arabic Level 3, Activity 07: “Occupations and Jobs/المِهَن والوظائف” (Face-to-Face/Online)

Description:
In this activity, students will practice the names of the jobs in Arabic, they will practice writing a full sentence describing what a character work. they will also talk about what they want to be in the future, and ask people about their jobs.
Semantic Topics:
job, work, Occupations, photographer, engineer, artist, painter, doctor, accounting, future, العمل، الوظيفة، المهنة، مصور، محاسب، مهندس، طبيب، رسام، فنان، الفعل المستقبل.
Grammatical Structures:
Job titles, Noun-adjective agreement, Future tense.
Products: Job titles, sentences describing different jobs, and future jobs.
Practices: Practice using new vocabulary, grammar structures, and conversation skills related to jobs and career aspirations.
Perspectives: Students may develop a deeper understanding of the role of work and career in Arabic culture. They may also gain a new perspective on the diversity of career paths and the importance of pursuing one’s passions and interests.

Materials Needed:
Warm-Up
- Use the whiteboard on Zoom and write with the students 3-4 jobs or professions that come to your mind.
اسْتَخدِم السَّبُورَة البَيضَاء على زوم، واكْتُب مع الطلاب ٣-٤ وَظاَئِف أو مِهَن تَخْطُرُ فِي بَالَك
Main Activity
- Each student has to choose a number, then they will read the character name, and then with the number order, you will click on the character image and his/her job will appear behind the image. Ask the student who chooses the image to come up with a full sentence describing the character’s job.
على كل طالب أن يختار رقمًا ، ثم يقرأ اسم الشخصية ، وبعد ذلك مع ترتيب الأرقام ، ستضغط على صورة الشخصية وستظهر وظيفته / وظيفتها خلف الصورة. اطلب من الطالب الذي يختار الصورة أن يخرج بجملة كاملة تصف وظيفة الشخصية. - Repeat until all students have participated.
كرر حتى يشارك جميع الطلاب.Wrap-Up
- ask students, “what do you want to be in the future?” in Arabic.

End of Activity
- ask students, “what do you want to be in the future?” in Arabic.
- Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate
their confidence.
