In this activity, students will be practicing new vocabulary by playing jeopardy. After practicing the words, they will learn how to apply it by filling in the blank after reading a dialogue.

Semantic Topics:

Jeopardy game, Read and Fill in the blank(๋นˆ ์นธ ์ฑ„์šฐ๊ธฐ), Vocabulary: Together (์šฐ๋ฆฌ), alone(ํ˜ผ์ž), singing room (๋…ธ๋ž˜๋ฐฉ), library (๋„์„œ๊ด€)

NCSSFL-ACTFL World-Readiness Standards:

  • Standard 1.1: Students engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions.
  • Standard 1.2: Students understand and interpret written and spoken Korean on a variety of topics.

Idaho State World-Readiness Standards:

  • COMM 1.1 – Interact and negotiate meaning (spoken, signed, written conversation) to share information, reactions, feelings, and opinions.
  • CLTR 1.2 – Explain the relationship between cultural practices/behaviors and the perspectives that represent the target cultureโ€™s view of the world.

  • I will be able to describe the location of the restaurant that I am going to.
  • I can name familiar places, such as the library, supermarket, and school.
  • I can ask my friends to go to the convenience store together.

Materials Needed:

Warm-Up:

Begin by introducing the Can-Dos for todayโ€™s activity.

Students will be asked a few questions to allow them to think and speak in Korean.
ํ•™์ƒ๋“ค์€ ํ•œ๊ตญ์–ด๋กœ ์ƒ๊ฐํ•˜๊ณ  ๋งํ•  ์ˆ˜ ์žˆ๋„๋ก ์งˆ๋ฌธ์„ ๋ฐ›์„ ๊ฒƒ์ž…๋‹ˆ๋‹ค.

  • Where do you go to exercise? Do you go alone?
  • ์šด๋™ํ•˜๋Ÿฌ ์–ด๋””๋กœ ๊ฐ€์š”? ํ˜ผ์ž ์šด๋™ ๊ฐ€์š”?
  • Do you go to the library often? Who do you go with?
  • ๋„์„œ๊ด€์— ์ž์ฃผ ๊ฐ€์š”? ๋ˆ„๊ตฌ๋ž‘ ๊ฐ™์ด ๊ฐ€์š”?

Main Activity:

Students will play jeopardy to practice new vocabulary. They will play the game as an individual player.

Students will be given a dialogue to read. The lab assistant will help the students to understand the dialogue.

Students will fill in the blank based on what they read in the dialogue. Most words have been reviewed in the jeopardy game.
