Warm-Up
Talk about what news stories they heard in the news today.
- Sprechen Sie darüber, welche Nachrichten sie heute in den Nachrichten gehört haben.
Main Activity
1. Students draw a card.
- Schüler ziehen eine Karte.
2. Then spend 5-10 minutes preparing a short news report based on the headline and picture provided on the card.
- Dann verbringen Sie 5-10 Minuten damit, einen kurzen Nachrichtenbericht basierend auf der Schlagzeile und dem Bild auf der Karte vorzubereiten.
3. Students can be as creative as they like.
- Die Schüler können so kreativ sein, wie sie möchten.
Wrap-Up
Ask students the following question to finish the activity:
- Was machst du dieses Wochenende? (What are you doing this weekend?)
END OF ACTIVITY:
- Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate their confidence. (Use thumbs up/thumbs down)
- Encourage students to be honest in their self-evaluation.
- Pay attention, and try to use feedback for future activities!
